(ContentDesk) January 1, 2006 -- Actually, Devi DeLavie is not a new kid in any sense of the word. Hes been into media, performing and visual arts for more than four decades.
And hes hardly on the same block as Madison Avenue. Hes nestled quietly away in the cool pines of Northern Arizona.
His growing display of wmv files of TV spots includes chickens doing a Hyundai ad, and a visually rustic ad for DCI (a Pharmaceutical Company) that was specifically targeted toward the college crowd of NAU in Flagstaff, Arizona, trying to convince them to sell their plasma. The DCI spot, explains Mr.
Delavie Caused quite a commotion.
Parents were noticing that their teens had memorized the words and were singing this spot throughout the day.
I later learned that the Communications Department at NAU was using it as a demonstration of target marketing.
I couldnt keep from asking about what appears to be really poor video quality in spots.
That, says Delavie Was a calculated thing. I wanted the whole spot to look like some college kid did it on their home computer. And TV isnt Devis only forte.
Be sure to click on the Radio link to listen to some air-checks of his radio programs under the name of Bill Williams.
I can try to describe this adventure in theater of the mind as Stan Freeburg meets Garrison Keeler disguised as Dick Cavett.
If thats something you cant quite fathom, I suggest to listen for yourself. (http://www.devidelavie.com/page/page/2781311.htm ).And just when you think you've grasped this Primal Force called Devi DeLavie, you'll click his GALLERY button and see some truly unique and wonderfully fanciful paintings and sculptures.
Hes obviously also a Graphic Artist worth having in your court. So take heed Corporate America and business owners nationwide, if your advertising agency isnt getting your name out there the way youd like it to be, it would be worth your time and money to talk with Devi DeLavie.
He doesnt just think outside the box, he creates from an insight into the American psyche that has proven itself to be out of this world..

Reversica?s New Plasma/LCD Concealment Hardware is ?Like Adding another Room to Your House.?
A California company is turning heads in the home entertainment furniture market with the introduction of their Gyre 6300 flat screen concealment hardware system."It's like adding another room to your house," said Cynthia Miyashita, president of Berkeley Mills, with a smile when she saw the utility of the Gyre turning a home entertainment room into a private library. With a motion described as ?rotaxial' by Reversica's CEO and the product's inventor, Bill Stone, the motion hardware allows a 50" plasma or LCD screen television to twist completely around revealing a bookcase with 12 linear feet of space. One minute you're watching TV and ? spin the Gyre around ? the next minute your home theater is now a library and you're ready for book club night. The space could also be used for DVDs or as a display for collectibles. Use Space BetterThe Gyre doesn't pivot like a Lazy Susan but swings out, tracing a teardrop pattern and returning to its original location, only reversed. Because of its...

Plasma TV The Price Goes Down
Plasma TV has become an important part of television technology. Over the past few years, there have been several major advances in the industry, including the plasma TV. As with any major technology advances, the plasma TV is quickly becoming more affordable - good news for the consumer. There are several reasons the price of the plasma TV is becoming more affordable. The first is the same reason that most technologies come down in price - the fact that the technology becomes more widely understood and available. As more manufacturers go into business to make the product, the competition naturally gets more intense and prices go down.
Remember that the manufacturers of those first units are trying to recoup the cost of research and development. That makes the product - in this case the plasma TV - more expensive for the consumer. After the technology is slightly older, the companies who manufacture are no longer trying to recover those costs so they can sell the products cheaper....
